Make the surface rough by hand:
-for all the areas to which it is not possible to get access with the sanding machine
-if there is a risk of damage when you use the machine (overlaping sheet metal junctions, window and windshield frames, antenna supports, fuselage area behind the radome).

Use an abrasive rotative brush to clean the areas with round head rivets.

C. Final Cleaning and Wiping
(1)
Rince the surfaces you have rubbed with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) then wipe with a clean lint-free cloth before the cleaning agent evaporates.
(2)
Lightly wipe again all the upper sections of the aircraft (fuselage above the windows, upper surface wings) with anti-dust pads before application of the wash primer.

A. Removal of the reference triangle and preparation of the surface.
(1)
Remove the old reference triangle with a non-metallic spatula.
(2)
Remove the remaining adhesive compound as follows:
(a)
Clean the contact surfaces with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) soaked with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003).
(b)
Remove the remaining adhesive coumpound with a non-metallic spatula.
(c)
Use adhesive tape to show the limits of the bonded area.
(d)
Make sure that the contact surfaces are in the correct condition and apply protection if necessary (Ref. SRM 512111,P.Block001) and (Ref. SRM 512311,P.Block001).
(e)
Apply finish paint on the contact surfaces.
