(1) Clean the contact surface with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) soaked in CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-002). Carefully remove the grease from the surface.

(1) Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-001) on the contact surface. Lightly bend the placard to bond it better.

B. Surface Reactivation
(1) Before you apply the paint, make all the surfaces rough with abrasive nylon pads and CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004).
NOTE : Stop the reactivation procedure when the surface is
____ sufficiently rough. Be careful not to remove or damage the protection of the skin or composite fibers.
NOTE : The surface on which you do the reactivation must be wet, but
____ it is possible to rub a dry surface if a vacuum cleaning device is available to remove the dust when you have rubbed the surface.
(2)
If necessary, remove the remaining sealant with grade 220 emery cloth.
(3)
Lightly rub the screw or rivet rows to remove all the black signs.
