26. FIRE PROTECTION
1. Portable Fire D
Extinguishers
Any in excess of those required by FAR
may be inoperative or missing provided:
a) The inoperative fire extinguisher
is tagged inoperative, removed
form the installed location, and
placed out of sight so it can not
be mistaken for a functional unit,
and.
b) Required distribution is
maintained.
None required. Flight crew will ensure
operative fire extinguishers
are available to meet FAR
91.513 or 135.155 distribution
requirements, i.e., one near
cockpit, one in cabin, are
required for dispatch.
An Inoperative Placard will
be placed on inoperative Fire
Extinguishers and will be
noted on ADLS.
2. Wing Overheat C
Warning Systems
2 1 (O) One may be inoperative provided:
a) Wing Anti-ice is not used, and
b) Airplane is not operated in known
or forecast icing conditions.
None required. Flight crew will ensure flight
operations are NOT
conducted in known or
forecasted icing conditions
and Wing Anti-Ice is NOT
used.
An Inoperative Placard will
be placed on Wing Anti-Ice
Switch and will be noted on
ADLS.
3. APU Fire Detection C
System

not used.
None required. Flight crew will ensure:
a) APU is not required for
Electrical Power or as an
Air Source.
b) APU is NOT used.
c) BOTH Engine Driven
Alternators and BOTH

APU Fire Warning Light
and on or next to APU
Master Switch and will be
noted on ADLS.
