rescuers glued to their joysticks.
Some of our other add-ons enhance the whole of the
Microsoft Flight Simulator environment. Traffic X, for
example, fills the virtual skies with new aircraft and extra
traffic. The AI (Artificial Intelligence) aircraft traffic in Flight
Simulator is completely transformed by the presence
of almost a hundred different aircraft models, featuring
numerous airline liveries and paint schemes, and providing
more than 1,700 individual aircraft to populate the skies.
Users can add their own paint schemes and modifications
to the program, download additional files, and even drive a
Follow Me car, watch airport traffic on radar and listen to

Rail Simulation
Realistic PC rail simulation is a relatively new phenomenon compared to virtual
aviation, but huge numbers of rail enthusiasts and railway modellers are now
enjoying these impressive simulations. Rail simulation has much in common with
virtual aviation, in that the latest simulations will run perfectly well on a modern
home PC and all you need to get started is some reasonably priced software.
Many different types of expansions are available to complement the host simulations
and these have become an integral part of the rail simulation experience.
The recent release of two major new rail simulations means that there has never
been a better time to start exploring the world of virtual railways.

Stand-alone rail simulations
& add-ons
RailWorks is the long awaited successor to
Rail Simulator, which over the past few years
has become the simulation of choice for many.
RailWorks currently offers the most authentic rail
experience available on the PC, letting you take
the controls of 13 stunningly accurate historic and
contemporary locomotives along eight different
lines in the UK, North America and Europe.
It provides more than 2000 kilometres of track
and you can test your driving abilities in over 50
scenarios. High levels of technical realism and
superb visuals combine to offer a realistic engine
driving experience set in authentic landscapes.
Trainz Simulator 2009 is another new version of a
long-running rail simulation which allows users to
drive a varied selection of routes from around the
world. Terrain detail is now four times higher than
in the previous incarnation, it boasts improved
graphical capabilities, offers far greater flexibility,
and features much improved physics – i.e. the
way the virtual locomotives handle compared to
their real-world counterparts.
Our recent rail simulation add-ons have all been
developed for Rail Simulator and most of them are
being updated for compatibility with its successor,
RailWorks. They are all available as Downloads,
and this foolproof method of instant delivery has
proved every bit as popular with rail enthusiasts
as it has with virtual pilots.
Locomotives and rolling stock are the obvious
choices for add-ons which can be used on the
default Rail Simulator and RailWorks routes.
Our Class 66 has been a great success as have
the Cargowaggon Flat IGA, IWB and YGB Seacow
PlusPaks. These all feature a variety of distinctive
liveries and also a set of new scenarios in which
