AC GENERATION - BUS TIE LOGIC
The transfer circuit enables to supply both or either
AC electrical network from one of the four power
sources via Bus Tie Contactors.
EXTERNAL POWER ON
With the battery pushbuttons in the OFF position, as
soon as the external power is available and selected
ON, the Ground Power Control Unit supplies Bus Tie
Contactor 1.
BTC 1 being closed, the BAT BUS 3PP is supplied allowing
BTC 2 to be energized. The whole aircraft electrical
network is supplied by the External Power.
APU GEN AND IDG 2 ON
With APU generator ON and IDG 2 generator ON, the Bus
Tie Contactor 1 is energized and Bus Tie Contactor 2
is de-energized.
AC BUS 1 is supplied from APU GEN.
AC BUS 2 is supplied from IDG 2.
IDG 1 GEN ON
With only the IDG 1 generator ON, both Bus Tie
Contactors are energized.
The whole aircraft electrical network is supplied from
the IDG 1 generator. When the Bus Tie pushbutton is
set to OFF ( release out ) , both BTCs are de-energized
and IDG 1 Generator supplies AC BUS 1. AC BUS 2 is
lost.
NORMAL CONFIGURATION
In normal configuration both Bus Tie Contactors are
deenergized.
IDG 1 generator supplies AC BUS 1.
IDG 2 generator supplies AC BUS 2.
