INTEGRATED DRIVE GENERATOR
QUICK ATTACH DETACH
The IDG is attached to the engine gearbox by a Quick
Attach Detach device.
OIL LEVEL INDICATOR
1 - If the oil level is above the line between the
green and the yellow band (IDG cold) or above the
yellow band (IDG hot), oil servicing is required.
2 - If the oil level is within the green band (IDG
cold) or within green or yellow bands (IDG hot), oil
servicing is not required.
3 - If the oil level is below the green band, oil
servicing is required.
Note : The yellow band corresponds to the oil thermal
expansion margin.

INTEGRATED DRIVE GENERATOR
OIL FILTER
DISCONNECT MECHANISM
The disconnect mechanism consists of a solenoid, a
spring-loaded disconnect plunger with threaded pawl,
a worm shaft, and a reset handle.
The purpose of the disconnect mechanism is to decouple
the power supply of the gearbox from the IDG in the
event of an IDG failure.
Once uncoupled, the disconnect mechanism cannot be
reset in flight.

OIL REPLENISHING OF THE IDG AFTER REPLACEMENT OF THE
IDG OR A COOLING CIRCUIT COMPONENT
Refer to your Aircraft Maintenance Manual when
performing this procedure by yourself.
VIDEO SEQUENCE
Do not touch the IDG system components for a short
time after the engine is shutdown. The engine
components stay hot for sometime and can cause injury.
If the oil is below the minimum level (the green band),
add oil to the IDG.
Now prepare the IDG for servicing.
Remove the caps from the overflow drain and pressure
fill valves.
