*
Open the aft cowl latches on the centerline after you open load share and hoop tie latches. Open the aft latch first, then open the forward latch.
*
Open the latch beam latches after you open the aft cowl latches and before you open the v-band latch. Open the aft latch first, then open the other latches in order from the aft latch to the forward latch. To open the No.1 latch, the safety handle is pulled down, a latch-open indicator rod extends from the bottom of the thrust reverser torque box. This indicator shows the No.1 tension latch is open.
When you close the thrust reverser, close the tension latches in this order:
* Close the latch beam latches after you close the v-band latch and before you close the aft cowl latches. Close the forward latch beam latch first and the close the other latches in order from the forward latch to the aft latch. When the No.1 latch is correctly closed, the safety handle will spring up in front of the latch and the latch-open indicator rod will retract into the torque box.
*
Close the aft cowl latches before you close the hoop tie and load share latches and after you closed the latch beam latches. Close the forward aft cowl latch first, then close the aft latch.
*
Close the hoop tie latches.
*
Close the load share latches last. If the load share latch on one side of the engine may close easily and is loose without a load while the load share latch on the other side of the engine requires high force to close the latch, the load share straps are not centered. The centering bracket on the load share straps should center the strap when you engage the eyebolt.

THRUST REVERSER SYSTEM -V-GROOVE LATCH BANDS, V-BAND ANCHOR, V-BAND LATCH
Purpose
The v-groove latch bands, v-band anchor, and v-band latch assembly supply the tension that holds the thrust reverser (T/R) halves to the engine fan case. The v-blade on the thrust reverser torque box fits into the v-groove on the engine fan case to transmit the forward and reverse thrust loads on the thrust reverser into the engine fan case. In addition, it is important that the v-blade and v-groove remain engaged if there were a fan blade out event to keep the thrust reverser halves attached to the engine.
Location
The v-groove latch bands are on the forward part of the torque box of the thrust reverser (T/R) halves. There is a left latch band and a right latch band. 中国航空网 www.aero.cn 航空翻译 www.aviation.cn 本文链接地址:777 AMM 飞机维护手册 发动机排气 Engine Exhaust PW 777 AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL(16)
