POTABLE WATER TANK HEATERS AND THERMOSTATS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1)
A removal and the installation of the potable water tank heater.
(2)
A removal and installation of the tank heater thermostat.
B. It is necessary to drain the potable water system before you can replace the tank heater or thermostat.

(1) Location Zone 125 thru 152 Lower Lobe (Refer to WDM for heater locations)
C. Procedure

(1) Open these circuit breakers and install DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P414, Left Power Distribution Center 1) 414A23, WATER TANK HTR B 2) 414D4, WATER TANK HTR A

(2) Do this task: "Water System Servicing (Drain)" (AMM 12-14-01/301).
NOTE: Make sure that you release the pressure in the water system.

Remove the cargo liners or floor panels as necessary to get access the potable water tank.
(4)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the tank heater.
(5)
Unscrew the heater and remove it from the tank.
(6)
Remove the O-ring from the heater for re-use.
