ENGINE PT2/TT2 PROBE ANTI-ICE SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This task is a system test for the Engine PT2/TT2 Probe Anti-Ice System. The test has these parts:
-
Put the air/ground relay system in the air mode
-
Put the engine N2 speed cards to the test mode
-Feel near the probes to make sure that they become hot
-Look to see that EICAS messages show at the correct times
B. There will be damage to the PT2/TT2 probes if the probe heaters are energized for too long with the engines off. After the probe heaters are energized for 30 seconds, remove power from them for 5 minutes or more. This will let let them become cool before they are energized again.

CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE PROBE HEATERS FOR MORE THAN 30 SECONDS.
_______ STOP FOR 5 MINUTES AFTER YOU OPERATE THE PROBE HEATER. YOU WILL DAMAGE THE PROBE IF YOU OPERATE THE PROBE HEATER FOR TOO LONG.
