WARNING: DEPRESSURIZE THE RUDDER, ELEVATORS, AND HORIZONTAL STABILIZER. PRESSURE IN THESE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS CAN ALLOW COMPONENTS TO BE MOVED SUDDENLY BY ANOTHER PERSON. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(1) Remove the pressure from systems A and B for the rudder, (AMM 27-21-00/201).

(2) S 046-010-B00Remove the pressure from the elevators, (AMM 27-31-00/201).
(3) S 866-021-B00Set the stabilizer trim cutout switches to CUTOUT.
(4) S 046-013-B00Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: (a) P6 Circuit Breaker Panel 1) STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR 2) STABILIZER TRIM CONT (b) P18 Circuit Breaker Panel 1) AUTOPILOT STABILIZER TRIM SERVO
(5) S 046-014-B00Use the stabilizer trim wheel on the control stand to set the horizontal stabilizer at zero degrees (3 units of trim).
(6) S 046-015-B00Install the trim lock assembly, F71336-501, on the stabilizer trim wheel. (a) Turn the trim wheel to put the handle at the top of the wheel. (b) Adjust the height of the trim lock to set the trim wheel handle tightly in the bottom of the yoke. (c) Install the pin through the yoke and install the safety pin.
(7) S 016-008-B00Remove the access panels that are necessary.
(8) S 296-002-B00Put the borescope tube into an access hole that is 2 inches in diameter.
(9) S 296-003-B00Move the borescope tube until you can see an area where an inspection is necessary.
NOTE:____ If you can not move the optical tip into the correct areas, use a guide tube.

(10) Examine the area for these unsatisfactory conditions:
NOTE: Do not move the borescope tube while you examine an area.
