R (b) If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
R - do a check of the wiring of the oil inlet and outlet
R temperature-sensors (Ref. ASM 24-21/01) for an open circuit, a
R short to ground or a short to shield condition between:

R . pin B/7 of the IDG 2 and pin A/9C of the GCU 2

R . pin B/8 of the IDG 2 and pin A/9D of the GCU 2

R . pin B/9 of the IDG 2 and pin A/10C of the GCU 2

R . pins A/9C and A/10D of the GCU 2 (do a check for a short to R shield)

R . pins A/9D and A/10D of the GCU 2 (do a check for a short to R shield)

R . pins A/10C and A/10D of the GCU 2 (do a check for a short to R shield).

R  1_  If the wiring is not correct:
R  - repair or replace as necessary. 
R  2_  If the wiring is correct:
R  - replace the GCU-2 (1XU2) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-34-000-001) 
R  and (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-34-400-001). 
R  3_  If the fault continues:
R  - replace the engine 2 IDG (4000XU) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-51-
R  000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-51-400-040). 
R  B. After the subsequent flight, make sure that the fault does not continue.

_______ R EXAMINE EACH CONNECTOR TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO OIL IN IT. R IF YOU FIND OIL, CLEAN THE CONNECTOR AND CONNECT IT AGAIN. R IF THE FAILURE CONTINUES, DO THE TROUBLE SHOOTING PROCEDURE AS R GIVEN BELOW.

R A. If the fault symptom is identified by the CFDS message IDG1 (E1-4000XU) R TEMP SENSE/ GCU1 (1XU1):
R NOTE : The CFDS message IDG1 (E1-4000XU) TEMP SENSE/ GCU1 (1XU1) can come
____ R into view if the electrical connector B is disconnected from the R IDG and the 28VDC backup power supplies the related GCU. Before R you do the trouble shooting procedure for this CFDS message, make R sure that the electrical connector B is not disconnected.
R - do an electrical resistance test of the inlet and outlet oil R temperature-sensors of the IDG 1 (Ref. ASM 24-21/01) between:
R . pin B/7 and pin B/8 (100 ohms plus or minus 10 ohms at the ambient R temperature of the IDG case)

R . pin B/8 and pin B/9 (100 ohms plus or minus 10 ohms at the ambient R temperature of the IDG case).

R (1) If the resistance values are out of the specified limits:
R - replace the engine 1 IDG (4000XU) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-51-000-040)
R and (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-51-400-040).

R (2) If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
R - do a check of the wiring of the inlet and outlet oil
R temperature-sensors (Ref. ASM 24-21/01) for an open circuit
R condition between:

R . pin B/7 of the IDG 1 and pin A/9C of the GCU 1

R . pin B/8 of the IDG 1 and pin A/9D of the GCU 1

R . pin B/9 of the IDG 1 and pin A/10C of the GCU 1.
