PREFACE
SCOPE
The NATOPS Flight Manual is issued by the authority of the Chief of Naval Operations and under
the direction of Commander, Naval Air Systems Command in conjunction with the Naval Air Training
and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) Program. This manual contains information on
all aircraft systems, performance data, and operating procedures required for safe and effective
operations, however, it is not a substitute for sound judgement. Compound emergencies, available
facilities, adverse weather or terrain, or considerations affecting the lives and property of others may
require modification of the procedures contained herein. Read this manual from cover to cover as it is
each aircrew's responsibility to have a complete knowledge of its contents.

Each flight crewmember is entitled to personal copies of the NATOPS Flight Manual and
appropriate applicable publications.
ONE TIME ORDERS
If this publication is needed on a one time basis (without future updates), it may be ordered from
stock by sending an electronic DD 1348 requisition IAW NPFC pub 2002D.
AUTOMATIC DISTRIBUTION (with updates)
To automatically receive future changes and revisions to NAVAIR technical manuals, an activity
must be established on the Automatic Distribution Requirements List (ADRL) maintained by the
Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command (NATEC). To become established on the
ADRL, notify your activity central technical publications librarian. If your activity does not have a
library, you may establish your automatic distribution by contacting the Commanding Officer,
