AVOID RAPID THR CHANGES
ENG (affected) SLOW RESPONSE
ENG 1(2) COMPRESSOR VANE
Applicable to:
L2 Low Pressure Compressor Bleed Valve (LPCBV) or Variable Stator Vane (VSV) failure.
Engine stall may occur at any thrust change.
L1 AVOID THR CHANGES (not displayed if LPCBV goes to open position).
L2 If autothrust engaged, adjust thrust lever (of affected engine) to align thrust lever command with
actual EPR and disconnect autothrust.
L1 AVOID RAPID THRUST CHANGES (displayed when the VSV position disagrees with the
command).
L2 Engine stall may occur at any rapid thrust change.
L1 IF ENG STALL:

L2Crew awareness.

L2 Fuel Metering Valve position disagreement between the commanded position and the real one.
L1 Failure of FMV command or FMV position feedback:
ENG 1(2) MIN FUEL FLOW.
L2 FADEC is no longer able to control the fuel flow. It automatically sets a fail safe minimum fuel
flow corresponding to idle or sub-idle fuel flow which may result in an engine shut-down.
