L2 EEC has reverted to the N1 MODE. Autothrust control is lost.
L1 If unrated N1 MODE is active:
L2 Loss of these upper ECAM indications: Max N1, N1 thrust lever, N1 mode, N1 rating limit.
L1N1 DEGRADED MODE.
ENG 1 N1 MODE ....................................................................................................................ON
ENG 2 N1 MODE ....................................................................................................................ON
L2N1 mode is confirmed on the affected engine.
The other engine must be reverted to the rated N1 mode to ease thrust setting.
L1NOT EXCEED N1 LIMIT.
L2 As there is no N1 limit, an overboost can occur at full forward thrust lever position.
L1MAN THR.........................................................................................................................ADJUST
L2 Align the N1 of the affected engine on the N1 of the other engine. Refer to PER-THR-N1 N1
MODE THRUST CONTROL, for power management tables.
L1 If rated N1 MODE is active:
ENG 1 N1 MODE.....................................................................................................................ON
ENG 2 N1 MODE.....................................................................................................................ON
MAN THR.........................................................................................................................ADJUST
L2 Refer to PER-THR-N1 N1 MODE THRUST CONTROL, for power management tables.
Note: Recovery of EPR MODE on both engines may be attempted by switching off both ENG
N1 MODE pb-sw.

If outside the windmilling start envelope, the FADEC will open the starter valve.

Be aware that, unlike the procedure for auto start on ground, the crew must take appropriate action
in case of an abnormal start.
Engine light-up must be achieved within 30 s after the fuel flow increases.
Monitor N2. If uncertain about successful relight, move the thrust lever forward and check engine
response.
ENG PARAMETERS (N2, EGT)..............................................................................................CHECK
If the ENG START FAULT-ENG STALL warning is triggered although engine parameters are
normal, disregard the warning.
When idle is reached:
ENG MODE SEL.................................................................................................................NORM
TCAS MODE SEL .............................................................................................check TA/RA
Check that the selector is at TA/RA since, if the Refer to PRO-ABN-70-I After ENG 1(2) SHUT
DOWNhas been applied, the TCAS mode selector may have been set to the TA position.
Affected SYS................................................................................................................ RESTORE
Restore affected systems, and set the X BLEED rotary selector to AUTO.
If no relight:
ENG MASTER (affected)........................................................................................................OFF
