FMC Messages
FMC messages indicate: degraded system operation, data input errors, or datalink
status. The messages are categorized as:
The CDU help window messages display according to their level of importance.
A less important message replaces another message in the CDU help window
when the CLEAR MSG key is pushed or the condition is corrected.
The EICAS displays the advisory message FMC MESSAGE when there is an
FMC alerting message. The EICAS displays the message •FMC when there is an
FMC communications message. Clear the message or correct the condition to
cancel the message.
FMC Alerting Messages
FMC alerting messages:
• display in the CDU help window
• cause the EICAS advisory message FMC MESSAGE to display.
Use the CLEAR MSG key or correct the condition responsible for the message to
remove the message.
