Drain and purge the applicable main fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Remove the actuator of the applicable left or right engine fuel shutoff valve (AMM 28-22-11/401).

Remove the applicable left or right main tank access door, 541AB or 641AB (AMM 28-11-01/401).

Remove the four bolts (5) and washers (4) that attach the adapter shaft (2) to the rear spar.

Disengage the adapter shaft (2) from the valve body (1).

(7)
Pull on the adapter shaft (2) from out of the fuel tank to remove.
