 Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tags and move the FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switches L, C, and R on the right side panel, P61, to ON.

 Push the STATUS switch on the pilot's display select panel, P9, to show the rudder position indicator on the bottom EICAS display.

Make sure the rudder operates correctly and moves smoothly through its full travel range.

 (b)  
Make sure the rudder position indicator operates correctly and moves through its full travel range.

Make sure the nose gear wheels are in their center position and remove the towing lever lockpin from the nose gear.

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00).
