(b) Push the erase switch for 3 seconds to erase the EICAS maintenance memory.

Do these steps to make sure no RUDDER PCU messages stay on the EICAS status and maintenance pages:
(a)
Push the STATUS switch on the P9 panel and do this check:
1) Make sure no RUDDER PCU message comes into view on the bottom EICAS display.
(b)
Push the ECS/MSG switch on the P61 panel and do this check:
1) Make sure no RUDDER PCU message comes into view on the bottom EICAS display.

Move the captain's right pedal to its full forward position (slowly) and do these steps:
(a)
Move the RUDDER DISPLACEMENT switches to RIGHT on the two yaw damper module simulators.
(b)
Do these steps to make sure a RUDDER PCU message comes into view on the EICAS status and maintenance pages: 1) Push the STATUS switch on the P9 panel and do this check:
a) Make sure a RUDDER PCU message comes into view on the bottom EICAS display. 2) Push the ECS/MSG switch on the P61 panel and do this check: a) Make sure a RUDDER PCU message comes into view on the bottom EICAS display.
(c)
Open this circuit breaker on the P11 panel and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) 11D18 or 11G10, RUDDER RATIO
(d)
Stop for 30 seconds.
(e)
Do these steps to erase the EICAS memory: 1) Push the ECS/MSG switch, then the AUTO EVENT switch on the P61 panel.
2) Push the erase switch for 3 seconds to erase the EICAS maintenance memory.
