Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker on the P11 panel:

(4) Push the STATUS switch on the pilot's display select panel, P9, to show the rudder position indicator on EICAS.

Adjust the control rod until the position indicator arrow is aligned with the neutral position mark and do this check:
(a)
Make sure the control rod length is 10.50 |0.10 inches
(266.7 +/- 2.5 mm).
NOTE: If it is necessary, turn the transmitter to get the
____ correct indication and control rod length at the same time.

Make sure the nose wheels are in their center position and remove the towing lever lockpin from the nose gear (Fig. 501).

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00).

Move the FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switches L, C, and R on the right side panel, P61, to OFF. Attach DO-NOT-OPERATE tags and make sure the amber switch position legend lights come ON.
