(c)
Turn No. 1 fire handle counterclockwise as far as possible. Hold approximately 5 seconds and release. 1) Air should be heard escaping at Eng-1 fire extinguishing discharge outlet,

providing Eng-1 selector valve is functioning and discharge line is continuous.

(d)
Shutoff air supply.

(e)
Allow several minutes for air pressure in tubing to bleed off and Eng-1 selector valve to close. Airflow stops when valve closes.

(f)
Repressurize system tubing to 210 ±50 psig.

(g)
Check that no air is escaping from Eng-1 and Eng-2 fire extinguishing discharge outlets, confirming Eng-1 and Eng-2 selector valves are closed.

(h)
Repeat steps (a) thru (g) for Eng-2 fire switch. For steps (c)1), verify air is heard escaping at Eng-2 fire extinguishing discharge outlet, providing Eng-2 selector valve is functioning and discharge line is continuous.

(i)
Reset fire switch to NORM position.

(j)
Disconnect compressed air source from left discharge hose.

(k)
Connect left discharge line to the bottle discharge plug.

(l)
Disconnect right discharge line from the bottle discharge plug.

(m)
Connect source of compressed air to right flexible discharge hose.

(n)
Repeat steps (a) thru (g) for No. 1 fire switch handle turned fully clockwise at step (c).

(o)
Repeat steps (a) thru (g) for No. 2 fire switch handle turned fully clockwise at step (c). For step (c)1), verify air is heard escaping at Eng-2 fire extinguishing discharge outlet, providing Eng-2 selector valve is functioning and discharge line is continuous.

(p)
Reset fire switch handle to NORM position.

(4)  Restore Airplane to Normal
(a)
Disconnect air source from right discharge hose.

(b)
Connect right discharge line to the bottle discharge plug.

(c)
Remove shunt plugs from fire extinguisher bottle squibs.

(d)
Open EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES RIGHT and EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES LEFT circuit breakers.

(e)
Connect electrical connectors to the appropriate bottle discharge squibs.
1) D582 is connected to the fwd fire bottle.
2) D584 is connected to the aft fire bottle.

(f)
Close EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES RIGHT and EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES LEFT circuit breakers.

(g)

ENGINE SELECTOR CONTROL VALVE - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
1. General
A.  The following test procedure checks only wiring continuity and solenoid operation. Air pressure is required at the valve inlet port to check complete valve operation. To test actual valve operation refer to paragraph 1.B. of the Fire Extinguisher System - Adjustment/Test, 26-21-0.
2.  Test Engine Selector Control Valve
A.  Remove electrical power from the system by opening all fire extinguisher circuit breakers on panel P6.
B.  Disconnect electrical connectors from both fire extinguisher discharge squibs at the base of each fire extinguisher bottle. (See 26-21-21, figure 401.)
C.  Close all fire extinguisher circuit breakers on P6 panel.
D.  Arm No. 1 fire switch handle by pressing override button behind handle and pulling up on handle.
E.  Turn No. 1 fire switch handle counterclockwise as far as it will go. Hold for approximately 5 seconds.
F.  Check for indication of No. 1 engine selector control valve operation by listening for the solenoid to CLICK. Refer to 26-21-21,figure 401 for selector valve location.
G.  Return No. 1 fire switch to normal position.
H.  Repeat the same procedure with No. 2 fire switch handle for checking No. 2 engine selector valve.
I.  On completion of testing restore the installation to normal operating condition.
