CONTROL CABIN FAN - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Equipment and Materials
A. Ground Lock Assemblies (Ref 32-00-01)
2. Prepare for Removal
A. Open CABIN AIRFLW - DC circuit breaker on P6-4.
B. Install ground lock assemblies (Ref 32-00-01)
C. Gain access to control cabin fan through left aft wall panel in nose wheel well (Ref 12-31-11).
3. Remove Control Cabin Fan (Fig. 401)
A. Disconnect electrical connector.
B. Remove clamps on each side of fan.
C. Remove vent fan.
4. Install Control Cabin Fan (Fig. 401)
A. Place clamps on duct adjoining fan location.
B. Align fan with duct flow arrow pointing forward and electrical connector pointing inboard.
C. Connect fan to duct with clamps.
D. Connect electrical connector.
E. Install left aft wall panel in nose wheel well.
5. Test Control Cabin Fan
A. Close CABIN AIR FLOW-DC circuit breaker on P6-4.
B. Disconnect electrical connector D490 from right pack valve (V19) or connector D486 from left pack valve (V18).
C. Check that fan operates.
D. Depress ground sensing test switch on E3-2 electrical shelf. Check that fan stops.
E. Release ground sensing test switch. Verify that fan operates.
F. Connect electrical connector removed in step B above. Check that fan stops.
6. Restore Airplane to Normal
A. Remove ground lock assemblies.

CONTROL CABIN AIR DISTRIBUTION DUCT - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
1. General
A. This procedure has been provided in the event of a duct telescoping joint separation.
2. Equipment and Materials
A. Solvents (Ref 20-30-31)
(1) Solvent – General Cleaning of Metal (Series 80) (Ref AMM/SOPM 20-30-80).
B. Tapes (Ref 20-30-51)
(1) Vinyl plastic tape, pressure sensitive adhesive, 2 inches wide Permacel Cold Weather Vinyl Tape No. 295.
3. Inspect Duct Joint (Fig. 201)
A. Gain access to duct by removing the electronic equipment compartment LH ceiling panel adjacent to the bulkhead separating electronic compartment and lower forward cargo compartment.
B. Check joint at station 375 for duct separation.
C. If joint is separated, remove clamp, clean joint and join duct assemblies per installation procedure.
4. Install Duct (Fig. 201)
A. Smooth sharp edges of duct ends with file, as required.
B. Telescope the two ducts so there is at least 1/2-inch overlap of the duct walls.
C. Clean area to be taped using cleaning solvent.
D. Apply two laps of tape to the center of joint, pulling taut and smoothing while applying.
E. Install clamp and tighten.
F. Replace ceiling panel.

WINDSHIELD AIR AND FOOT OUTLET VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has been provided in the event the Windshield Air and Foot Outlet Valve needs to be replaced or inspected.
2. Remove Windshield Air and Foot Outlet Valve (Fig. 401)
A. Gain access to floor area underneath the main instrument panels by removing the P1, P2, P3, and P9 panels.
B. Gain access below the floor area by opening access door 1103 forward of the nose landing gear doors.
