PASSENGER CABIN TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAN - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
EFFECTIVITY
Carryall Stowage Compartment Type Interior Airplanes
1. Remove Temperature Sensor Fan (Fig. 401)
A. Check that RIGHT A/C PACK switch is OFF.
B. Open RIGHT AUTO TEMP CONT AND IND FAN circuit breaker (P6).
C. Remove bull nose cover by pulling inboard edge of bull nose cover free from attach bulb, then pulling cover inboard.
D. Disconnect fans electrical connectors and tag wires for installation.
E. Remove fans attach bolts (4) and remove fan.
2. Install Temperature Sensor Fan (Fig. 401)
A. Position temperature sensor fan and install attach bolts.
B. Connect electrical wires as tagged.
C. Close RIGHT AUTO TEMP CONT AND IND FAN circuit breaker (P6).
D. Provide electrical power.
E. Verify that fan operates.
F. Install bull nose cover.
G. Position 5 by 8 inch sheet of lightweight paper over sensor air inlet
H. Remove paper.
I. Remove electrical power if no longer required.

PASSENGER CABIN TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAN - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Advanced Technology Interior
1. Remove Temperature Sensor Fan (Fig. 401)
A. Check that RIGHT A/C PACK switch is OFF.
B. Open RIGHT AUTO TEMP CONT AND IND FAN circuit breaker (P6).
C. Lower PSU assembly and gain access to (5) screws fastening bullnose to PSU beam; remove screws and bullnose..
D. Disconnect three sensor assembly electrical connectors and tag fan wires for installation.
E. Remove plug buttons which provide access to two 1/4 turn studs.
F. Rotate studs 1/4 turn counterclockwise and remove sensor assembly.
G. Remove fan wires from terminal board on fan.
NOTE: Do not remove ground wire from metal flange.
H. Remove fan attach bolts (4) and remove fan.
2. Install Temperature Sensor Fan (Fig. 401)
A. Position temperature sensor fan and install attach bolts.
NOTE: Ensure that metal flange, with ground wire installed, is in place before installing bolts.
B. Connect electrical wires, as tagged, to fan terminal board.
C. Position sensor assembly on shock mounts and rotate studs 1/4 turn clockwise to lock assembly into position.
D. Install plug buttons in access holes of sensor assembly.
E. Connect three electrical connectors to sensor assembly.
F. Close RIGHT AUTO TEMP CONT AND IND FAN circuit breaker (P6).
G. Provide electrical power.
H. Verify that fan operates.
I. Install bullnose.
J. Position 5 by 8 inch sheet of lightweight paper over sensor air inlet grille and check that paper is held in place by the fan.
K. Remove paper.
L. Remove electrical power if no longer required.
M. Raise and secure PSU assembly.

DUCT TEMPERATURE SENSORS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. There are four duct temperature sensors consisting of a duct temperature limit sensor, and a cabin anticipator sensor for each system. One duct temperature limit sensor and anticipator sensor is located in the branch of the main distribution manifold leading to the passenger cabin and the other two are in the branch leading to the control cabin. (See figure 401.) Access to the sensors is through the aft bulkhead of the forward cargo compartment.
2. Prepare for Duct Temperature Sensor Removal
A. Open AUTO TEMP CONT circuit breaker for respective system on load control center circuit breaker panel P6.
B. Remove center portion of forward cargo compartment aft bulkhead to gain access to main
distribution manifold.
Remove Duct Temperature Sensor
A. Disconnect electrical connector from duct temperature sensor.
B. Remove screws attaching temperature sensor to duct.
