3. Fault Confirmation

A. Test
(1) Do the BITE test of the ATIMS (Ref. AMM TASK 46-21-00-740-001).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the test gives the maintenance message MCDU2(3CA2)/ATSU1(1TX1):
- replace the MCDU-2 (3CA2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-82-12-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-82-12-400-002).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the ATSU (1TX1) (Ref. AMM TASK 46-21-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 46-21-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- remove the MCDU 2 and the ATSU
- do a check and repair the wiring of the MCDU TRANSMITTER BUS: between pins A/27,28 of the MCDU 2 and pins AB/7E,7F of the ATSU (Ref. ASM 46-21/05)
- install the MCDU 2 and the ATSU.
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.

- no maintenance action is required because it is a spurious message.
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.

A. If the test gives the maintenance message PRINTER(4TW)/ATSU1(1TX1):
- replace the PRINTER (4TW) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-35-22-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-35-22-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the ATSU (1TX1) (Ref. AMM TASK 46-21-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 46-21-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- remove the printer and the ATSU
- do a check and repair the wiring of the PRINTER DATA BUS: between pins A/E,F of the printer and pins AA/5G,5H of the ATSU (Ref. ASM 46-21/05)
- install the printer and the ATSU.
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
