L2Note: In the case of GPWS (EGPWS  ) alerts, reduce speed with care below VLS with
the flaps extended (at light weights VMC may be reached before α max), when
applying the GPWS (EGPWS  ) procedure.
L1 IF NO ENG RELIGHT AFTER 30 S:
ENG MASTER (AFFECTED ENGINE)............................................................................ OFF
 IF DAMAGE:
ENG FIRE P/B (AFFECTED ENGINE)......................................................................... PUSH
L2 If the ENG FIRE pb is pushed, the FADEC is no longer supplied.
L1 AGENT 1 AFT 10 S.....................................................................................................DISCH
L+R INR TK SPLIT............................................................................................................ ON
L2Note: If no fuel leak is evident, set both INR TK SPLIT pb-sw back to the normal
position.
L1 IF NO DAMAGE:

L2 Apply the ENG RELIGHT (in flight) procedure (Refer to PRO-ABN-70 ENG RELIGHT (in
flight)).

ASSOCIATED PROCEDURES
ENG 1(2) SHUT DOWN
Apply the After ENG SHUT DOWN procedure (Refer to PRO-ABN-70-B After ENG
1(2) SHUT DOWN ) If damage, or if engine relight is unsuccessful.
If high engine vibrations occur and continue after engine shutdown, reduce airspeed
and descend to a safe altitude.
Attempt to define, and use, a practical airspeed and altitude for minimum vibrations.
For performance reasons, the landing is in CONF 3. CONF 3 should be selected, as
the landing configuration, on the MCDU.

(IN FLIGHT)
Applicable to:
MAX GUARANTEED ALTITUDE.........................................................................................28 000 FT
ENG MASTER (affected engine).................................................................................................. OFF
THR LEVER (affected engine).......................................................................................... check IDLE
MAN START pushbutton (affected engine).................................................................................. OFF
Note: Auto start is recommended in flight.
Be aware that, unlike the procedure for auto start on the ground, the crew must take
appropriate action in case of abnormal start.
ENG START SEL...........................................................................................................................IGN
Note: During engine relight in flight, PACK 1 + 2 FAULT is temporarily triggered.
X BLEED (if necessary)............................................................................................................. OPEN
The FADEC selects an assisted start (start valve automatically opens) when N2 is below 16 %
Airspeed at or above 300 kt ensure a windmilling start.
WING ANTI ICE (for starter assisted start).................................................................................. OFF
ENG MASTER...............................................................................................................................ON
Note: Engine light up must be achieved within 30 s after fuel flow increases.
Monitor N2
 When idle reached (AVAIL indication pulses in green):
ENG START SEL................................................................................................................NORM
TCAS MODE SEL  ............................................................................................Check TA/RA
If the ENG SHUT DOWN procedure has been applied the TCAS mode selector is at TA
position.
Affected SYS................................................................................................................ RESTORE
Restore affected systems and set XBLEED selector at AUTO.
 If no relight:
ENG MASTER (affected engine)............................................................................................OFF
Wait 30 s before new start attempt (to drain the engine).
