GROSS CLIMB PERFORMANCE IN FINAL TAKE-OFF/ENROUTE CONFIGURATION
The gross climb performance in the final take-off/enroute configuration presented is based on
the following:
Flaps = 0°
Landing gear = Up
Climb airspeed = Final take-off/enroute
Engines = One engine at MCT (ACU on) and other engine inoperative
Example:
Associated Conditions:
Airplane weight = 41,888 lb (19,000 kg)
Altitude = 5,000 feet
Temperature = 10°C
The gross rate of climb during the final take-off segment, for the above associated conditions
as shown in Figure 06−20−10, is 1,180 feet per minute.

NOTE
These supplementary procedures are only applicable to airplane
5622 on the HKCAD Registry.
1. GENERAL
These supplementary procedures must be used when conducting Airworthiness Flight Tests or
Crew Training Operations.
These data complement or supersede data contained in the basic Operating Manual. These
supplementary procedures must, therefore, be used in conjunction with the basic Operating
Manual.
The effect of these supplementary procedures on the basic Operating Manual is given below.
2. INTRODUCTION
The general information in Chapter 1 is applicable.
3. OPERATING LIMITATIONS
The operating limitations in Chapter 2 are applicable.
4. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
The emergency procedures in Chapter 3 are applicable.
5. NORMAL PROCEDURES
The normal procedures in Chapter 4 are applicable, in addition to the following:
A. High Speed Flight
An appropriate airspeed limitation is established for the case where there is a need for crews
to experience the airplane’s high speed characteristics above VMO/MMO during training, or for
VMO/MMO to be exceeded to permit correct operation of the high speed warning to be tested,
up to the maximum upper limit of tolerance of the system. In order to satisfy this requirement,
an airspeed limitation of VMO + 10 KIAS or MMO + 0.01 has been defined for the purpose of
airworthiness flight tests or crew training operations, provided the following conditions are
observed:
• Passengers are not carried;
• Wings are level, and no “g” is applied throughout the maneuver; and
• There is no significant turbulence.
ENTRY AND RECOVERY PROCEDURES
The maneuver should be commenced in level flight, by setting the thrust levers to achieve
maximum continuous thrust (MCT), and then lowering the nose of the airplane gently. To
recover from the maneuver, set the thrust levers to IDLE, extend the flight spoilers, and carry
out a gentle pull-up. If an airspeed greater than VMO + 10 KIAS or MMO + 0.01 is inadvertently
achieved, or any airframe or aileron buffet is encountered, recovery action should be taken
immediately.

B. Intentional Stalls
Intentional stalls may be carried out, when authorized, for the purpose of airworthiness flight
tests or crew training operations, subject to the following conditions:
• Altitude is between 13,000 feet and 15,000 feet;
• Autopilot is disengaged;
• Stall protection system is fully operative;
• Airplane is free from ice;
• Airplane maneuver area is clear of cloud and turbulence; and
