1. AURAL/VISUAL WARNING SYSTEM
A. EICAS Primary Display Failure
Indication: EICAS primary display goes blank.
The system automatically transfers the EICAS primary page data to the operational display
position.
If automatic transfer does not occur:
(1) Left MFD display control switch............................Select to EICAS.
(2) EICAS source selector .........................................Select to ED2.
Check the following:
• ED2 display reverts to PRI
(engines) page.
• Left MFD reverts to EICAS
STAT (status) page.
• All page functions are
selectable on the EICAS
control panel.

B. EICAS Secondary Display Failure
Indication: EICAS secondary display goes blank.
(1) Right MFD display control switch .........................Select to EICAS.
(2) EICAS source selector .........................................Select to ED 1.
Check the following:
• Right MFD reverts to EICAS
STAT (status) page.
• All page functions are
available on the EICAS
control panel.
END
C. EICAS Control Panel Failure
Indication: EICAS control panel buttons will not select synoptic/menu pages.
The PRI, STAT, CAS and STEP switches remain operable during a microprocessor failure:
To display a synoptic page (HYD, ELEC, or F/CTL):
(1) STEP switch ......................................................Press in and step as required, in order
to scroll to applicable page.

F. EICAS Comparator Inoperative
Indication: EICAS COMP INOP caution message.

G. TCAS System Failure
Indication: TCAS FAIL caution message on PFD and/or MFD.
(1) Radio tuning unit, TCAS page,
AUTO/STBY line select key ..................................Press to select STBY mode.
Check TCAS OFF indicated
on MFDs/PFDs.

Indication: TCAS RA FAIL caution message on PFD.
TCAS RA FAIL message displayed on both PFD:
Yes
(1) Radio tuning unit, TCAS
page, AUTO/STBY line
select key.......................................................Press to select TA ONLY mode.
Check TA ONLY indicated on
MFDs/PFDs.

(1) Pilot with functional RA-display would be required to carry out any subsequent
avoidance maneuvers.

Indication: TCAS TA FAIL caution message on MFD.
TCAS TA FAIL message displayed on both MFDs:

(1) No further action required. Assume loss of TA data on
both MFDs.
RA data remains available.
