(a) OVSP TEST switch ...................................... Select to 1 then 2, in turn.
Check that overspeed clacker
comes on.
(7) PITCH and ROLL DISC handles .................... In/stowed
(8) GND SPOILERS switch .......................................Select to AUTO.
(9) THRUST REVERSER panel ................................Check
(a) THRUST REVERSER, L and R
switches........................................................ Select to ARMED.
Check the following:
• L and R REV ARMED
advisory messages on.
• LH and RH UNLK lights out.
• L and R REV UNLOCKED
caution messages out.
(b) EMER STOW switch/lights...........................Check pressed out.
(10) FLIGHT SPOILER lever ................................. Retracted
(11) Thrust levers..................................Checked/SHUT OFF
(12) GPWS FLAP OVRD switch (if
installed) ...............................................................Check switch is guarded at NORM.
(13) FLAPS ..................................................................Check setting agrees with flight
control page.

(1) APR switches .......................................................Select to OFF.
(2) Engine vibration.......................................................Test 1
(a) VIB switch..................................................... Select to TEST. Check the following:
• N2 gauge indicates VIB
icon.
• FAN VIB readout of 3.5 mils
(amber).
(3) ENG SPEED, LH and RH
switches................................................................Select to ON.
(4) EICAS control panel .................................... As required
(5) Display control switches .............................. As required
(6) Radio tuning units.............................. Set/No messages
(7) TCAS (if installed) ................................................Check 1
(a) Display control panel, TFC
button..............................................................Push to select TCAS traffic display
on the MFD.
(b) Radio tuning unit, TCAS page
TEST line select key......................................Press Select the TCAS TEST.
Check the following:
• TRAFFIC (flashing red) and
VSI (red/green bar) on PFD.
• Verify threat symbols
displayed on MFD.
• TCAS TEST (white) on
MFD and PFD.
• “TCAS SYSTEM TEST OK”
aural message comes on.
NOTE
TCAS system test failure is indicated by TCAS FAIL caution message
on MFDs/PFDs.
(c) Radio tuning unit, ATC page
ALT line select key ........................................Press to turn ON altitude reporting
mode. Check the following:
• ATC page indicates ALT
ON.
• Displayed altitude
corresponds with the
current airfield elevation.
