* ERASE (shows when data is modified).
LOAD shows when the ACARS performance initialization data
has the highest load priority.
This data may be uplinked with an ACARS message:
* Gross weight
* Cruise center of gravity
* Plan fuel
* Zero fuel weight
* Reserve fuel
* Cost Index

* Trip/cruise altitude
* Cruise wind
* Top of climb outside air temperature
* Transition altitude.
Line 1R shows the TRIP/CRZ ALT data field. The trip altitude
gives the crew a reference to select the cruise altitude. Trip
altitude is the best cost altitude for the minimum cruise time. It
is calculated and shows after this data is set:
* Origin and destination airports (ROUTE page)
* Gross weight
* Cost index.
The CRZ ALT box prompt lets the flight crew enter the cruise
altitude. The cruise altitude set on this page also shows on the
CLIMB, CRUISE, and RTE legs pages. CRZ ALT may be entered
as an altitude (feet) or a flight level.
Line 2R shows the CRZ WIND prompt. This lets the flight crew
enter the cruise wind speed and direction. The default is 000/
000.
Line 3R shows the T/C OAT prompt. This shows the forecast top
of climb outside air temperature. The data format is +/-XX F or
+/-XX C.
Line 4R shows the TRANS ALT data field. This shows the
altitude where the FMCS changes to standard barometric
altitude. The default value is 18000 feet. However, the flight crew
may enter another value. It will change automatically if the
departure procedure has a different transition altitude and the
crew does not enter a value manually.
Line 5R shows the PERF INIT REQUEST prompt. This lets the
flight crew uplink the performance initialization data with an
ACARS message.
Line 6R shows the N1 LIMIT prompt. This selects the N1 LIMIT
page.
These data fields will clear at flight completion:
* Gross weight
* Cruise center of gravity
* Zero fuel weight
* Reserves
* Trip/cruise altitude
* Cruise wind
* Top of climb OAT.

Performance Limits page
Line 1L shows the TIME ERROR TOLERANCE data field. This
shows the time error tolerance at a waypoint which is used by
the required time of arrival (RTA) function. The FMCS uses this
tolerance to calculate the airplane speed. The data entry range
is five seconds to 30 seconds. The default value is 30 seconds.
Lines 2L and 2R through 4L and 4R show the minimum and
maximum speed limits for climb, cruise and descent. The flight
crew may change the values in these data fields.
Line 5L shows the PERF LIM REPORT prompt. This lets the
flight crew downlink the performance limits with an ACARS
message.
Line 6L shows one of these prompts:
* INDEX (selects the INIT/REF INDEX page)
* LOAD (shows when data may be uplinked with an ACARS
message)
* ERASE (shows when data is modified).
Line 5R shows the PERF LIM REQUEST prompt. This lets the
flight crew uplink the performance limits with an ACARS
message.
Line 6R shows the RTA prompt. This selects the RTA
PROGRESS page.
