FAR29.177 :[Staticdirectional stability.]
[Static directionalstability must bepositive with throttle and collective controlsheld constantatthetrim conditions speci.edinSec.29.175(a),(b), and(c). Sideslip angle must increase steadily with directional control de.ection for sideslip angles up to ±10' from trim. Su.cient cues must accompany sideslip to alert the pilot when approaching sideslip limits.] Amdt. 29-24, E.. 12/6/84
FAR29.181 :[Dynamic stability : categoryA rotorcraft.]
[Anyshort-period oscillation occurring at any speed from VY to VNE must bepositi-vely damped with the primary .ight controls free and in a .xed position.] Amdt. 29-24, E.. 12/6/84
72.4 Ground and Water Handling Characteristics
FAR 29.231 : General.
The rotorcraft must have satisfactory ground and water handling characteristics, includingfreedomfrom uncontrollable tendenciesin any condition expectedin operation.
FAR 29.235 : Taxiing condition.
The rotorcraft must be designed to withstand the loads that would occur when the rotorcraftis taxied over the roughestground that may reasonablybe expected in normal operation.
FAR 29.239 : Spray characteristics.
Ifcerti.cationfor water operationis requested, no spray characteristicsduringtaxiing, takeo., or landing may obscure the vision of the pilot or damage the rotors, propellers, or other parts of the rotorcraft.
FAR 29.241 : Ground resonance.
The rotorcraft may have no dangerous tendency to oscillate on the ground with the rotor turning.
