CLOCKS -CLOCK
Displays
The clock has a time/date window and an elapsed time/ chronograph window. Both are liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
Chronograph Switch
The chronograph switch is a push-button switch. Use this switch to start, stop, and reset the chronograph function.
Sweep Second Hand
The sweep second hand only works with the chronograph function of the clock.
Elapsed Time Selector
The elapsed time selector is a three-position rotary switch. Use this selector to control the elapsed time function of the clock. The elapsed time selector positions are:

RESET. This is a spring-loaded position. Use this position to reset the elapsed time
*
HLD (hold). Use this position to hold the elapsed time
*
RUN. Use this position to let the clock start to accumulate elapsed time.
Time/Date Selector
The time/date selector is a push-button rotary two-position switch. In the MAN (manual) position, clock time and date come from the clock. In the UTC position, UTC and date come from the AIMS universal time (coordinated) function (UTCF).
Push the selector once to show the date. Push it again to show the UTC.
Clock Set Selector
The clock set selector is a four-position rotary switch. Use this selector to set or change the clock time and date. You can only change the clock time and date in the manual mode. It is not possible to change the AIMS UTC and date.
The clock set selector positions are:

HD (hours/date). Use this position to set the hours or the day
*
MM (minutes/months). Use this position to set the minutes and the months
*
HLDY (hold/year). Use this position to hold the time or set the year
*
RUN. Use this position to let the clock begin the time update.

CLOCKS -CLOCK SWITCH
General
You control the chronograph function of the clock from the CHR switch on the clock or from the clock switch on the glareshield panel.
The captain’s clock switch controls the captain’s clock chronograph function. The first officer’s clock switch controls the first officer’s chronograph function.
The CHR switch on the clock, and the clock switch on the glareshield panel have the same priority.

CLOCKS -DATE/TIME SELECTION
Clock Time and AIMS UTC Selection
Use the time/date selector to show one of these:
*
Clock time and date
*
UTC and date from the AIMS universal time (coordinated) function (UTCF).
In the MAN (manual) position, the time and date that show on the clock come from the clock time base.
In the UTC position, the time and the date come from the AIMS UTCF.
Date/Time Selection
Push the time/date selector to show the date. If the time/date selector switch is in MAN, the date comes from the clock. If the switch is in UTC, the date comes from the AIMS UTCF.
Day/month and the year show alternately for one second each. Push the time/date selector to show the time again.

CLOCKS -TIME SET
General
You can not change or set the UTC and date from the AIMS universal time (coordinated) function (UTCF). You can only change the clock time and date that the clock calculates. The time/date control switch must be in MAN.
