Remove the dust caps from the electrical connectors.
(b)
Examine the printer's electrical connector for loose, dirty, bent, or broken pins.
(c)
Connect the electrical connector to the printer.
(d)
Carefully put the printer into the panel.
(e)
Lock the fasteners on the front of the printer.

Install a roll of paper in the printer (AMM 45-10-02/301).

Use a CDU to do the CMCS ground test of the printer:
(a)
Make these selections on the CDU:
1) <GROUND TESTS (from the CMC MENU)
2) <45 CENTRAL MAINTENANCE
3) <PRINTER
(b)
Make sure a test pattern comes out of the printer.
(c)
Make sure that the correct software part numbers show on the printout.
NOTE: You must know the correct software part numbers for the
____ printer. For the printer to be an approved installation, software with the correct part numbers must be installed.
1) If the part number is not correct, replace the printer with one that has the correct software.
(d) When the test is completed, make sure that PASS shows adjacent to <PRINTER.

1. General_______
A. This subject has two tasks. The first task is to clean the inlet screen for the cooling air on the remote control display unit (RCDU). The second task is to clean the RCDU display screen.
B. The RCDU is installed in the main equipment center at STA 402, WL 188, LBL 57.
