C. Test manual selection of standby power bus.
(1)
Set STANDBY POWER switch to OFF.
(a)
Observe STANDBY POWER OFF light illuminates.
(b)
Set ac and dc meters switches to STBY PWR. Observe 0 volts indicated on both meters.
(c)
Set dc meters switch to BAT BUS. Observe 26 + 4 volts dc indicated on meter.
(2)
Set STANDBY POWER switch to BAT
(a)
Observe STANDBY POWER OFF light extinguish.
(b)
Observe AC BUS STBY and DC BUS STBY lights illuminate.
(c)
Set ac meters selector switch to STBY PWR and observe voltmeter reads 115 + 5 volts ac and frequency meter reads 400 + 10 Hz.
(d)
Set dc meters selector switch to STBY PWR and observe voltmeter reads 26 + 4 volts dc.
(e)
Observe standby horizon flags disappear.
(f)
Set dc meters selector switch to BAT BUS and observe voltmeter reads 26 + 4 volts dc.
D. Test standby power off/master caution time delay.
(1)
Open GEN DRIVE OIL NO. 1 and No. 2 LOW PRESS circuit breakers on P6-4.
(2)
Press MASTER CAUTION light to extinguish.
(3)
Set STANDBY POWER switch to OFF.
(a) Observe STANDBY PWR OFF light illuminates and approximately one second later the MASTER CAUTION light illuminates.
E. Restore system to normal.
(1)
Close GEN DRIVE OIL NO. 1 and No. 2 LOW PRESS circuit breakers on P6-4.
(2)
Set STANDBY POWER switch to AUTO.
(3)
Remove external power if no longer required (Ref. 24-22-0 MP).
4. Standby Power System Operational Test
A. Start APU (Ref. 49-11-0 MP) or provide 3-phase, 400-Hz, 115-volt power to external power receptacle.
B. Set BATT switch to ON if using external power.
C. Set DC meter selector switch to the following and check that DC voltmeter reads:
(1)
Zero at TR3 position.
(2)
Greater than 22 volts at BAT position.
(3)
The same as at BAT position (or within 1/2 volt less) when at BAT BUS position.
D. If using external power, set GROUND POWER switch to ON. If using APU generator driven power, set right and left APU GEN switches to ON.
E. Set DC meter selector switch to the following and check that DC voltmeter reads:
(1)
26 + 4 volts dc at TR3 position.
(2)
The same as at TR3 position (or within 1/2 volt less) when at BAT BUS position.

F. Set STANDBY POWER switch to OFF and check that STANDBY PWR OFF light illuminates.
G. Set AC and DC meters selector switches to STBY PWR and check that AC and DC voltmeters read zero.
H. Set STANDBY POWER switch to AUTO and check that:
(1)
STANDBY PWR OFF light extinguishes.
(2)
DC voltmeter reads 26 + 4 volts.
(3)
AC voltmeter reads 115 + 5 volts.
(4)
Frequency meter reads 400 + 10 Hz.
I. Set GROUND POWER switch to OFF or set right and left APU GEN switches to OFF and check that:
(1)
STANDBY PWR OFF light illuminates.
(2)
AC and DC voltmeters read zero.
J. Actuate and hold the GROUND SENSING TEST switch on M338 module and check that:
(1)
STANDBY PWR OFF light extinguishes.
(2)
DC voltmeter reads 26 + 4 volts.
(3)
AC voltmeter reads 115 + 5 volts.
(4)
Frequency meter reads 400 + 10 Hz.
K. Release GROUND SENSING TEST switch and check that:
(1)
STANDBY PWR OFF light illuminates.
(2)
AC and DC voltmeters read zero.
L. Set STANDBY POWER switch to BAT and check that STANDBY PWR OFF light extinguishes.
M. Set STANDBY POWER switch to AUTO and check that STANDBY PWR OFF light illuminates.
N. Set DC meter selector switch to TR3 and check that DC voltmeter reads zero.
O. Return standby power system to normal.
(1)
Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref. 24-22-0).
(2)
Set BATT switch to OFF.
