AMBER CAUTION MESSAGES
CAS INDICATION CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
EPMP BATT SW OFF Battery No. 1 and/or No. 2
switch (MASTER) is OFF.
Depress proper switch. No message
indicates that both battery switches are
on.
EPMP POWER FAIL Either one (1) or all four (4)
sources of input power
supply to EPMP has failed.
Check CB’s on pilot’s
overhead CB panel as
follows:
EPMP SW PWR No. 1
EPMP SW PWR No. 2
EPMP No. 1 DC
EPMP No. 2 DC
If only one (1) power supply has failed,
continue operation as normal, and if
appropriate, attempt to reset CB. If all
power sources have failed (indicated by
black-out of EPMP), land as soon as
practical.
FGC 1-2 FAIL Respective FGC system has
failed.
None required. Switch over to good
flight guidance system is automatic.
Cycle appropriate CB if FGC is hard
failed.

FLAP ASYMMETRY
(1) (2)
Flap position asymmetry
detected. Flaps have
stopped moving toward
selected position.
1. Select longest available runway for
landing.
2. L/R Airstart Ignition - ON.
3. VREF for configuration from
Performance Section.
4. GPWS/GND SPOILER FLAP
ORIDE - ON.
CAUTION: DO NOT EXCEED TIRE
SPEED LIMITATIONS.
(1) SPZ 8400 equipped airplanes with ASC 69A or ASC 69B (Flap Asymmetry Indicator)
installation.
(2) SPZ 8000 equipped airplanes with ASC 69A or ASC 69B, an Amber FLAP ASYM
indicator light, installed under the FLAP/STAB position indicator, will illuminate. The CAS
message is not incorporated.
FLT HYD FAIL Failure of flight hydraulic
system pressure.
Check flight hydraulic pressure. If
system has failed, land as soon as
practicable. Disengage Yaw Damper.
See Section 3-17-40: Flight Hydraulic
System Failure.

CAS INDICATION CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
L-R FUEL LEVEL LOW Fuel level in hopper is
below approximately 650
lbs. (295 Kg).
Ensure that boost pumps are ON. Check
fuel quantity gauge. OPEN cross-flow
valve. If fuel quantity is greater than 650
lbs. (295 Kg) in appropriate tank: In
flight, level airplane attitude. On
ground, turn boost pumps on to fill
hopper.
L-R FUEL TEMP HOT Fuel temperature above
90°C or below 0°C.
Retard power and monitor temperature
indication. If indication does not return
to normal, place power lever in idle
position.
OR
Verify oil temperature is within
operating level at engine start. Allow
engine to operate at idle until operating
temperature is reached. Message will
extinguish when engine fuel temperature
is above 0°C.
FWD RADIO RACK
HOT
Radome, left or right
equipment bay temperature
has exceeded 200°F (93°C)
Attempt to isolate hot equipment and
shut down. Turn off unnecessary
equipment.

HYD QTY LOW Hydraulic System quanity is
low.
1. Check system for leak using the
HYDRAULICS synoptic page.
2. If leak is evident, expect system to
fail. See Section 3-17-00: Hydarulic
System.
ICE DETECTED
(if installed)
Ice detected by probe Select cowl and/or wing anti-ice on, as
appropriate or depart icing condition.
IRS 1-2 ALN FAULT Improper Present Position
entry or excess airplane
motion while in align mode.
Check Present Position. If incorrect, reenter.
If correct or if excess motion is
suspected, turn IRS off for three (3)
seconds then back to align and re-enter
Present Position.
IRS 1-2-3 COOL FAIL
(SPZ 8400 equipped)
Respective IRS cooling fan
has failed.
Shut down IRS.
IRS 1-2-3 ON BATTERY Respective IRS has lost
normal power source and
has reverted to battery
power.
Check normal bus power source to IRS
and restore, if able. Expect limited IRS
endurance.
MACH TRIM LIMIT Elevator trim has reached
electrical trim limit while
operating airplane in Mach
