WARNING: DO NOT USE THRUST REVERSERS ON LANDING.

SECTION 4
EMERGENCY
PROCEDURES
4-44 FAA APPROVED
31 May 2000
4-17-00: HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
4-17-10: Dual Hydraulic System Failure:
1. Descend to 25,000 ft. or below.
2. Maintain 250 KCAS or slower.
3. Select Yaw Damper OFF.
NOTE: This action disengages the Autopilot if engaged at the time.
For Approach and Landing:
Select the longest runway available with minimum crosswind component.
4. Plan a wide approach, power on at 20° flaps.
5. Flap Handle..........................................................................................................................20°
NOTE: Set flaps to 20° using Auxiliary Hydraulic Pump Pressure.
6. Select Gear Handle.........................................................................................................DOWN
7. Airspeed ................................................................................................175 KCAS (maximum)
8. Gear........................................................................................EXTEND using alternate system
9. Gear Position..................................................................................CHECK DOWN/3 GREEN
10. Flaps...................................................................................................................... VERIFY 20°

PROCEDURES
FAA APPROVED 4-45
31 May 2000
11. GPWS/GND SPLR FLAP ORIDE ...................................................................................... ON
12. Aux Hydraulic Pump ......................................................................... ON (prior to touchdown)
NOTE: The red Ground Spoiler message light may illuminate during flap extension. This is
due to "spoiler float" and is considered normal.
Nose Wheel Steering will not be available for landing.
Final landing configuration is gear down, gear handle down, flaps 20°, Aux Hydraulic Pump
ON.
On touchdown:
13. Use brakes and rudder as required to maintain directional control. Expect diminished
braking capability due to low output of the Aux Hydraulic Pump and demand of the brakes.

SECTION 4
EMERGENCY
PROCEDURES
4-46 FAA APPROVED
31 May 2000
4-19-00: LANDING GEAR/LANDING GEAR SYSTEMS
4-19-10: Abnormal Gear Condition - Emergency Landing:
NOSE GEAR RETRACTED BOTH MAIN GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED
If contamination of the uplocks due to ice and snow is suspected, consider flying to an area
where melting can occur. If fully retracted, attempt to release from uplocks by applying positive
“g” loading not to exceed 2.5 g’s flaps up. If partially extended but not locked down, perform a
normal approach and firmly bump the main wheels on runway in an attempt to shake the nose
gear down and locked. Execute go around. Consideration should be given to flying faster than
normal in order to increase elevator effectiveness and the nose falling through on touchdown.
LANDING PROCEDURE
1. Touchdown.......................................................................................RUNWAY CENTERLINE
2. Speed Brakes .................................................................................EXTEND AS NECESSARY
3. Thrust Reversers....................................................................USE MAXIMUM (Both Engines)
This will reduce load on nose.
4. Wheel Brakes ...................................................................................................USE MINIMUM
5. Nose.......................................................................................................FLY ONTO RUNWAY
(Relieve Weight with Elevator after Runway Contact)
6. Brakes.......................AS NECESSARY FOR DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND STOPPING

EMERGENCY
PROCEDURES
FAA APPROVED 4-47
11 October 2001
ONE MAIN GEAR AND NOSE GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED OPPOSITE MAIN GEAR
RETRACTED
If fully retracted, attempt to release from uplocks by applying positive “g” loading not to exceed
2.5 g’s flaps up.
If partially extended yaw to the airplane to apply spanwise air load to force the affected gear
outboard, left rudder for left main gear, right rudder for right main gear. Attempt to Lock Unsafe
Gear Down. At normal approach speeds, touch affected gear on runway with slight SKID to
force faulty gear outboard. Execute go around.
LANDING PROCEDURE
1. Touchdown.............................................................. SIDE OF RUNWAY WITH SAFE GEAR
