NOTES:
1 . On entering thc p5 state, the DCE reassig~lst he outgoing call to the DTE to at~othcrc hannel (no CLEAR REQUEST is issucd) and responds to
incoming DTE call as appropriate with a CLEAR REQUEST or CALL ACCEPT packet.
2. The error procedure consists of performing the actions specified whcn entering the p7 state (including sending a CLEAR REQUEST packet to
the DTE) and additionally sending a CLEAR REQUEST packet to the XDCE (via the reformatting process).
3. The use of the fast select facility with a restriction on the response prohibits the DTE from sending a CALL ACCEPT packet.
4. The DTE in the event of a cdl collision must discard the CALL REQUEST packet rcccived from the DCE.
5. Table enties are defincd a? follows: A = action to be takcn, S = the state to be entered, D = the diagnostic code to br: used in pxkets generated
as a result of this action, DISCARD indicates that the receivcd packet is to be cleared from the XDLP buffers, and INVALID indicates that the
packet/state combination cannot occur.

NOTES:
I . The error procedure consists of performing the specified actions when entering the d3 state (which includes forwarding a
RESET REQUEST packet to the DTE) and sending a RESET REQUEST packet to the XDCE (via the formatting
function).
2. Table entries arc dcfined as foilows: A = acdon to be taken, S = the state to be entered, D = the diagnostic code to be
used in packets generated as a rcsult of this action, DISCARD indicates that the received packet is to be cleared for the
XDLP buffers, and INVALID indicates that the packetlstatc combination cannot occur.

1. If the packet has a format error, then the error procedure applies (see Note 3).
2. Table enlries are defined as follows: A = action to be taken, S = the state to be entered, D = the diagnostic code to be used in
packets generaled as a result of this action, DISCARD indicates that the receivcd packet is to be cleared from the XDLP
buffers, and INVALID indicatcs that the packetlstate combination cannot occur.
