SYSTEM INTEGRATION
The EPGDS associated with the Global Express is integrated into any on-board system
which requires electrical power for its control, actuation or operation. As this includes
virtually all aircraft systems, it is safe to say that the EPGDS may be considered to be
the heart of the aircraft and central to its operation. As has been seen in previous
sections, the pilot may access control of the EPGDS through the Cockpit Control
Panel and the EMS CDU. The latter control device permits the manipulation of the
vast majority of the electrical protection and controller components associated with all
aircraft systems. As such, it allows unprecedented operator access to the EPGDS and
the systems with which it is integrated. These systems and services may be identified
by reviewing the CDU Display figures illustrated in the Operations section of this
document.
