SLAT/FLAP OPERATION
Both SFCU 1 and 2 receive input signals from the slat/flap control lever. The SFCUs
then release the brakes from the motor drive units of the PDUs and asymmetry brake
detectors. The PDU powers the driveline and actuators to achieve slat/flap travel.
The position sensors return signals to the SFCUs to confirm correct operation of
speed, rotation and position. Each SFCU sends signals to Flight Control Units (FCUs)
1 and 2 which process this logic for system(s) operation.
