Training Information Point
The N2 crank has a small cover and a large cover. You remove the small cover to use the N2 crank. You must not remove the large cover. If you remove and then install the large cover, you can damage the oil pump idler gear bearing.

ENGINE -BORESCOPE ACCESS PORTS
General
You can inspect internal engine parts with a borescope inserted through borescope ports.
Manual Engine Turning
BEJ ALL POST SB 777-71-0032
There are eight borescope ports on each side of the engine. You must turn the LP and HP shafts to see all the compressor or turbine blades.
BEJ ALL
There are nine borescope ports on the left side of the engine. There are eight borescope ports on the right side of the engine. You must turn the LP and HP shafts to see all the compressor or turbine blades.
You manually turn the fan to turn the N1 shaft.
You manually turn the N2 shaft at the N2 crank pad on the front of the main gearbox. You can also use a pneumatic or electric motor to turn the N2 crank.

Numbers identify borescope access ports (AP). These are the borescope access ports and their inspection areas:
