P2/T2 Bridge
The P2/T2 bridge is on the upper left side of the inlet case. It supports electrical and pneumatic lines going to the P2/T2 probe in the inlet cowl.

ENGINE -INLET CONE AND FAN BLADES
Inlet Cone
The inlet cone is an aerodynamic fairing that directs inlet airflow. It attaches to the front of the fan hub with bolts. The inlet cone is made of composite materials.
It has a front and a rear segment. You take off the front segment to get access to the rear segment.
Fan Blades
There are 22 wide-chord, titanium fan blades on the engine. The wide chord removes the need for mid-span shrouds. The blades are LRUs. You can remove each blade independently.
Fan Blade Removal
You must remove the inlet cone before you remove the fan blades. A split-ring blade lock is behind the inlet cone. It keeps the blades in their axial position. Dovetail slots in the LPC hub hold the fan blades in place radially. To remove a fan blade, you remove the split-ring blade lock and move the blade out of the slot.
Blade platforms are installed between adjacent blades. A retention pin holds each blade platform to the fan hub. You remove the pin to release the platform.
Fan Balance Weights
You find fan balance weights on the front compressor hub forward side. The weights attach to tabs on the inner flange. There are two kinds of weights:

Module balance weights
*
Trim balance weights.
Module balance weights attach with rivets. Trim balance weights are held with spring-loaded pins to make removal or installation easier.
Training Information Point
You will only inspect and adjust trim balance weights when you use the OEBS to balance the engine.

ENGINE -INTERMEDIATE CASE
General
The intermediate case is the primary structural component for the front of the engine. It contains the 4th stage stators and the support structure for the number 1, 1.5 and number 2 bearings. The forward engine mount and many engine components are attached to it.
