LOWER LOBE CARGO COMPARTMENT -BULK CARGO FLOOR
Purpose
The bulk cargo compartment floor supports the cargo.
Physical Description
Bulk cargo floor panels are made of aluminum-fiberglass laminate material. Three layers of sheet aluminum are bonded to two layers of fiberglass sheet.
Bolts attach the floor panels to the structure. Anchor fittings attach tie downs and cargo nets to the floor. Rubstrips protect the floor.

LOWER LOBE CARGO COMPARTMENT -BULK CARGO DOOR PROTECTOR
Purpose
The bulk cargo door protector keeps cargo clear of the bulk cargo door opening.
Physical Description
The bulk cargo door protector is made from fiberglass-faced paper honeycomb core material. Two support fittings attach the bulk cargo door protector to the cargo compartment ceiling. Struts brace the bottom of the door protector.
The struts have hinges that permit the door protector to fold up against the bulk cargo door. The hinges lock when the struts are straight.
There is a strap at the bottom of the door protector. When the strap is not in use, hook and loop tape holds the loose end of the strap to the door protector
Location
The bulk cargo door protector is in the bulk cargo compartment, inboard of the door opening.
Operation
When the bulk cargo door is open, fold the hinges on the struts and lift the door protector. Attach the strap to the fitting on the door frame (not shown) to hold the door protector up.

LOWER LOBE CARGO COMPARTMENT -BULK CARGO NETS
Purpose
The bulk cargo divider net keeps cargo in the bulk cargo compartment. The divider net also isolates the aft and bulk cargo compartments for temperature control.
The door net helps keep cargo clear of the bulk cargo door opening.
Physical Description
The divider net is nylon webbing with an insulation blanket attached.
The door net is nylon fabric reinforced with nylon webbing.
Adjustable fittings attach the nets to the structure.
Location
The divider net is at the forward end of the bulk cargo compartment.
The door net is in the bulk cargo compartment, aft and inboard of the door opening.
