D. Do a Test of the Relay Installation

Supply external power to the ground service bus (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure the warning light 115V GND SVCE HOT BUS on the P37 panel is on.

Push the right BUS TIE switch on the P5 panel, to the AUTO position.

Make sure the warning light on the P37 panel 115V GND SVCE HOT BUS is on.

(5)
Remove external power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

GROUND SERVICE SELECT RELAY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General

A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the ground service select relay (referred to as the relay) from the airplane. The second task installs the relay on the airplane.

C. Prepare for the Removal

WARNING: DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE FOR THE SPOILERS OR MOVE ALL
_______ PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM THE SPOILERS. THE SPOILERS CAN RETRACT QUICKLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Do the deactivation procedure for the spoilers (AMM 27-61-00/201) or move all persons and equipment away from the spoilers.

WARNING: REMOVE THE ELECTRICAL POWER FROM THE AIRPLANE WHEN YOU REMOVE
_______ OR INSTALL COMPONENTS IN THE POWER PANELS. HIGH VOLTAGES CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Remove electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Open this main power distribution panel P6 circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) 6B4, BUS PWR CONT UNIT
S 024-014
(4) Remove the relay as follows:
(a)
Open the P34 panel.
(b)
Remove the terminal cover on the relay.
(c)
Remove the wires from the relay.

Remove the installation screws which attach the relay to the P34 panel.
(e)
Remove the relay.
