• Three layered documentation: OPS documentation is provided with three layers of
information, the end-user can choose the layer he aims to see,
• Advanced graphic management: Graphics manage hotspots, unanchored graphics, zoom
feature,
• Multimedia management: LPC Browser manages video and audio format as an internal
format,
• Advanced search modes:
o Full text search with logical operators,
o Search through keywords setting a context.
• Advanced bookmark management: bookmarks will store a location in the documentation
and the consultation context.
4.3.3 Cockpit part (on A380 class 3)
The main features available in the LPC Browser onboard are listed hereafter:
• Search through ECAM messages with content assist:
Either automatically with the ECAM message send by the aircraft,
Or selected by the pilot through an assistant.
• Search through a cockpit interface picture,
• Advanced links toward other OIS modules: performance applications can be started with
initial data coming from the documentation.

5. INTERFACES DESCRIPTION
5.1 INPUTS / OUPUTS
5.1.1 Flight Ops Doc Manager
5.1.1.1 Inputs
Complete list of data set:
• Input data are the data packages the Airline receives from Airbus in XML exchange format.
There is one package per manual revision,
• Data packages are downloaded from the Airbus Customer Portal or received on a media
(CD/DVD) support,
• Size of the data package may vary according to the manual and if it’s a complete revision or
an incremental revision,
• Frequency of data exchange is contractual between the Airline and Airbus,
• Data Exchange format is the XML exchange format from Airbus.
5.1.1.2 Outputs
Complete list of data set:
• Published Manual as a set of files depending on the output format of the publishing
(XHTML, HTML, XML, PDF),
• Size of the data package may vary according to the manual and if it’s a complete publication
or an incremental publication,
• Manuals are published by the Airline whenever they need to do such an operation.
The communication means foreseen to update LPC Browser on-board are:
• CD-Rom/DVD,
• USB key,
• Gatelink,
• Satcom.
5.1.2 LPC Browser
5.1.2.1 Inputs
LPC Browser will take in input the consultable data published through the publisher module of
Flight Ops Doc Manager or ADOC. The input format is XHTML.
5.1.2.2 Outputs
LPC Browser generates no output.

Flight Ops Doc Manager may be installed on an existing database in the airline (according to the
