4. OVERALL FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW OF THE APPLICATION
4.1 APPLICATION PURPOSE
Flight Ops Doc Manager provides Airlines a mean to manage, customize and publish.
LPC Browser allows airlines to view operational manuals.
4.1.1 LPC Browser
The purpose of LPC Browser is to provide the crew with an electronic means to consult all
operational manuals (FCOM, MEL, CDL, CCOM, AFM and Airline own manuals).
Manuals consulted using LPC Browser are customized and published using Flight Ops Doc
Manager on ground.
4.1.2 Flight Ops Doc Manager
The purpose of Flight Ops Doc Manager is to allow the customization and publication into several
formats of all operational manuals.
Flight Ops Doc Manager is designed to address the following business main objectives:
• Provide an easy to use product that allows airlines to publish OPS manuals in order to be
visualized in LPC Browser,
• Provide a bottom of the range product that allows airlines to customize their OPS manuals
in term of content and structure,
• Provide a product that needs the less exploitation workload as possible.
Targeted manuals customized by Flight Ops Doc Manager are flight operations manuals including:
• Flight Crew Operating Manual (FCOM),
• Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) in order to build the Airline MEL,
• Cabin Crew Operating Manual (CCOM),
• Flight Crew Training Manual (FCTM),
• Airplane Flight Manual (AFM),
• Quick Reference Handbook (QRH).
• Airline own manuals.

4.3.1 Data customization
The main features available in Flight Ops Doc Manager are listed hereafter:
• Possibility to publish Airbus manuals without customization in PDF and RFT formats,
• Bottom of the range product but rich functionalities,
• Multiple formats loading, especially the Airbus XML Exchange format,
• Customization of the content and structure of manuals,
• Publishing of manuals to multiple formats and especially for viewing with LPC Browser,
PDF and RTF for Paper production,
• Multi users and open architecture,
• The less exploitation workload as possible.
