APU start and the first engine start. This reduces drain on batteries.
Complete all safety checks and as much of Before Starting Engines
checklist (page NC-1) as possible.

Single engine taxi is recommended utilizing the left engine for power
and hydraulics. Additionally, the APU should be running and selected
ON for electrical power in the event of a left alternator/converter
failure.
