setupST.bat program. The standalone version does not need a server to work. The data is stored on the client computer and cannot be shared by several Flight Ops Doc Manager instances. There cannot be several users in the same time.
Client/Server: this version is installed by the following program:
Flight-Ops-Doc-Manager-7.1-CS_Setup.exe. It allows a multi-client version. The installation program installs the server and customizes the deployment tool in order to automate the client’s deployment.

PRIOR TO INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended to check for the external resources references:
Remove the directory "Document and settings/<user>/fosp/workspce” if it exists. This workspace directory may be filled with:
o
FODM users “.preference” files from pervious installation (one subdirectory for each user) to be deleted for reinitialization with new issue
o
Arbortext Editor customization jar files from previous installation (in “/bin/epic” sub-directory) to be deleted for reinitialization with new issue
Choose a login/password for the root account
For a client/server installation you must check the following prerequisites:
o
Verify that the JAVA_HOME/bin directory is declared in the path environment variable (refer to guide: [RD5]. See: chapter: 5.1.1.3 Setting JAVA_HOME environment variable)
o
Check if an external database instance is available or if you will use the embedded one (Client/Server)
o
Check if an Apache HTTP server is already installed on your host (Client/Server)

INSTALLATION
4.1
Installation package
Client / Server Flight-Ops-Doc-Manager-7.1-CS_Setup.exe
Standalone Installer folder with:

4.2
Information about installation
During the installation procedure, the user is asked to enter an installation path.
If this is the first installation or if the directory does not exist, it will be created. Otherwise the user will be asked to confirm to overwrite of the existing specified directory.
If the directory already contains a previous version of Flight Ops Doc Manager, the installation procedure cannot end successfully. You will have to uninstall the previous version.
4.3
Installation procedure
4.3.1
Standalone FLIGHT OPS DOC MANAGER 7.1 installation
To start the procedure, you must unzip the LPC-Doc-Manager-7.1-ST_Setup.zip file.
The zip file contains 3 files:

The jre folder
•
The fosp_standalone.jar jar file
•
And the setupST.bat file
To launch the installation, run the setupST.bat file.
First of all you must choose the language that will be used to display the installation instructions.
