FTP port: File transfer between client and server is done via FTP. You can specify a port according to your network settings. You can specify a port different from the default one, in case it is already used. (21 is the default port for FTP and others applications on the computer like any FTP server may already use this port thus leading to conflicts).
FTP passive port: The FTP protocol is used to transfer files between the client and the server application. Those transfers are done in passive mode. This implies opening a list of port on the server computer. Those ports shall be specified in the installer. Just enter a list of ports separated by comas. (by default, 8 ports are opened).

HSQLDB: select this engine if you don’t have one already installed. HSQLDB will be installed with the Flight Ops Doc Manager application

Enter the login/password of the account that will be created to connect to HSQLDB engine.
Please do not use admin as login.
You also have the possibility to set the port number used by the HSQLDB engine. This can be useful if you’ve already another HSQLDB engine running on this computer.

PostgreSQL 8.2: this is an open source database engine. Select this option if you choose to use PostgreSQL. You should have installed and configured this database prior installing Flight Ops Doc Manager server. Moreover, a specific instance of database and a user/password should be configured for Flight Ops Doc Manager.

You must enter the following information that will be given by your DBA: name of the instance dedicated to Flight Ops Doc Manager, user/password of the account that permits JDBC connection, IP address of the database engine.
