5.
FIRST CONNEXION TO THE APPLICATION
The first connection to the application is done through the HMI. The way to start it is different for the standalone or the client/server mode.
5.1
Standalone mode
Using the shortcut in the start menu to launch Flight Ops Doc Manager:

The login form will be displayed next to the splash screen:

First connection to Flight Ops Doc Manager application must be done with the root user (see Figure 7).
Note: root user cannot load or modify manuals. Create Author or Manual responsible profiles first.
Enter the correct login and password and you will access to the ‘Manual Manager’ as shown below.

Please note that the standalone application is set to manage manual of standard size. For big manual such as FCOM, you shall modify the memory setting in <INSTALL_PATH>/bin/launchFosp.bat in order to set memory usage to 768m up to 1280m

This setting shall be used only if the physical memory present on the computer is at least 1GB.
5.2
Connect to Server application
To connect to the Flight Ops Doc Manager, ensure all services are working (Refer to [RD 5] Administration and maintenance manual)
On a client computer, you must open a web browser.
Type the following URL: http://SERVERNAME/fosp/ (where SERVERNAME correspond to the Flight Ops Doc Manager server name).
