Like the one plane (fan only) solution, the AVM signal
conditioner calculates the solution and shows the adjustment
in balance weights necessary to balance the engine fan. The
two plane solution also gives you the number of LPT clips and
their locations necessary to balance the LPT. Always use the
procedure in AMM part 2 when you do an engine balance.
You get to the TWO PLANE? FAN AND LPT MENU when you
push the NO BITE switch at the ONE PLANE? FAN ONLY
display. See ENGINE BALANCE PG 4 for navigation to the ONE
PLANE? FAN ONLY display.
For either engine, you may have the AVM signal conditioner
calculate a two plane balance solution. To find a the solution,
push the YES BITE switch at the TWO PLANE? FAN & LPT
display.
The INSTALL ONLY BALANCE? message shows next. The AVM
signal conditioner will try to calculate a balance solution if you
push the YES or the NO BITE switch. The calculation takes five
to eight seconds. One of these messages will show immediately
if the AVM signal conditioner can not calculate a solution:
* NO IM-BAL DATA
* NO BAL COEF DATA
* BALANCE LIMIT EXCEEDED
* NO BALANCE FUNCTION.
If you push the YES BITE switch at the INSTALL ONLY
BALANCE? display, the solution calculation ignores the
balance part data, as if a P07 balance weight is at every fan
hole location. If a P07 balance weight is not in the fan hole
where the new fan balance weight is to be installed, you must
use a table in the AMM, part2.
If you push the NO BITE switch at the INSTALL ONLY
BALANCE? display, the solution calculation will use the
engine balance part data in AVM non-volatile memory. The
remove fan part data, which follows the solution, must match
the balance weights actually on the engine. You use the install
fan part data and a table in the AMM, part 2, to determine which
balance weights you must remove and install.
The first display of the solution is the fan raw solution. The
weight moment shows in gram-centimeters. The angle shows in
degrees.

The next part of the menu is the remove fan parts section. You
do not see this section if you push the YES BITE switch at the
INSTALL ONLY BALANCE? display. The remove fan parts
section shows the balance weights that you must remove. Push
the NO BITE switch at any time to go back to the TWO PLANE?
FAN & LPT display.
The install fan parts section shows which balance weights to
install to balance the engine fan. You must follow the AMM
procedure for proper use of this data. You push the NO BITE
switch at any place in this section of the menu to return to the
TWO PLANE? FAN & LPT display.
The next display is the LPT raw solution. The weight moment
shows in gram-centimeters. The angle shows in degrees. Push
the down arrow BITE switch to see how many LPT clips and
their locations necessary to balance the LPT. All LPT clips have
the same weight.

Purpose
You go to the ERASED STORED DATA menu to erase these sets
of data from AVM signal conditioner nonvolatile memory:
* Flight history (all 32 flights)
* Imbalance data (vibration data for last flight or engine cycle)
* Existing weights (fan balance weight data).
You erase fault history data in the fault history menu. See the
AVM SIGNAL CONDITIONER - SYSTEM FAULTS - TRAINING
INFORMATION POINT page in this section for more information.
General
You usually erase the AVM signal conditioner nonvolatile
memory when you put it on a different airplane or after an
engine change. It is not possible to erase data for only one
