ENGINE INDICATING -EPR -P2/T2 PROBE
Purpose
The P2/T2 probe supplies signals for fan inlet pressure and temperature to the EEC.
Component Location
The probe attaches to a bracket in the top of the inlet cowl. It is electrically heated for anti-ice protection.
Functional Description
The P2 pressure signal goes through a pneumatic line. The line runs down the left side of the fan case to the EEC. The T2 temperature signal is electrical. There is a temperature signal connector for each channel of the EEC.

ENGINE INDICATING -EPR -P4.95 PROBES
General
The P4.95 probes supply a signal for engine exhaust gas pressure to the EEC.
Four probes attach to the turbine exhaust case, two on each side. A manifold connects all the probes together to give an average pressure signal to the EEC.
These probes also contain the EGT probes.

ENGINE INDICATING -EPR -FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
General
The EEC operates in the normal or alternate mode. In the normal mode, engine thrust is set with EPR. For the alternate mode, engine thrust is set with N1. You normally operate both engines in the same mode.
Normal Mode (EPR)
When the EEC operates in the normal mode, the EICAS display shows these EPR indications:
