ENGINE INDICATING -AIRPLANE CONDITION MONITORING SYSTEM (ACMS) -GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Purpose
The airplane condition monitoring system (ACMS) is a function of the AIMS. Engine sensors supply data through the EEC to the ACMS. You use the ACMS to get reports of engine sensor data for ground-based engine condition monitoring.
The EEC uses most of the engine sensor inputs for engine control. Two inputs, P2.5 and T2.5, supply data only for the ACMS. Station 2.5 is at the LPC exit. The P2.5 pressure tap and the T2.5 thermocouple are on the N1 speed probe.
See the engine fuel control section for more information about engine sensors (SECTION 73-21).
Indications
P2.5 and T2.5 data does not show in the flight deck.
